ANSI Accreditation


 

American National Standards Institute (ANSI). ANSI is an internationally recognized organization that accredits standards development organizations. The not-for-profit ANSI has been designated by the U.S. government as the administrator of voluntary consensus standards, known in this country as American National Standards. ANSI accreditation means that procedures used by standards developers meet ANSI requirements for openness, balance, consensus and due process as required by the ANSI Essential Requirements: Due process requirements for American National Standards.
